Built in the early 1600s as a hunting lodge and gutted by fire in 1929, this is now a restored shell - original stonework outside, modern timber floors and a steel spiral staircase inside so visitors can climb through what survived. It sits on the Lulworth Estate near Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, and doubles as a wedding venue.

History
Thomas Howard, 3rd Viscount of Bindon · 1609
Thomas Howard, 3rd Viscount of Bindon, began construction in 1588 and completed it around 1609 as a prestigious hunting lodge showcasing wealth and fashion. A devastating fire in 1929 gutted the interior, but subsequent restoration has preserved the shell with modern floors and a dramatic spiral staircase inside.
