Ground floor of manor house accessible via ramp. Access to upper floor and chapel requires steep steps. Compacted gravel and smooth grass grounds. Manual wheelchair users may need assistance. Small slopes can be avoided but some steps exist around grounds.

History
mid-11th century
A Norman motte and bailey built in the mid-11th century, Prudhoe was held by the Umfraville family who strengthened it with stone defences after successfully resisting Scottish sieges in 1173–74. The Percy family later held it; the castle eventually passed to the Crown in 1966.
