History
Richard Streatfeild (original); Henry Streatfeild (1679 rebuild) · 1497; remodelled 1679 and 1835
A 16th-century brick manor initially built by Richard Streatfeild, then rebuilt in Restoration style in 1679 by Henry Streatfeild and remodelled in Gothic fashion during the early 1800s. The Denys Eyre Bower Bequest purchased it in 1955 to display extensive antiques collections, and it continues operating as a museum and event venue.
