Families are particularly well catered for, with more than one reviewer highlighting excellent play areas for kids, and there's a shuttle available from the visitor centre for those with limited mobility.
The deer and llama park is mentioned as an unexpected bonus, and staff are consistently described as helpful and friendly.

History
10th Earl of Cassillis · 1777-1792
The 10th Earl of Cassillis commissioned Robert Adam to transform an earlier basic structure into this clifftop masterpiece between 1777 and 1792, featuring a distinctive drum tower with a circular saloon overlooking the sea. In 1945 the Kennedy family donated it to the National Trust for Scotland, and it became famous as the retreat of General Eisenhower.
